With the recent merger between Duvel Moortgat and Firestone Walker, fears of industry consolidation are once again in the media. Consolidation is the old way of thinking, and if you are above 40,000 barrels and growing fast, you may be a target for one of the 125 regional craft breweries or for AB/In-Bev. For most of us, this is neither a goal nor realistic, we plan to stay hyper local and small. What should we be worried about? Will consolidation and the buying power of these big firms limit our access to inputs? Will retail prices go down? Is the Brewer's Association doing enough for the little guys? Insert your questions below in this forum thread. We will answer them, and point you to the right strategy for your company.
