Managing Creatives

Our industry is built upon the passion and creativity that compels home brewers to make their love of beer into their livelihoods. When a brewery grows up, sometimes creative people leave the brew house behind and/or have to hire additional folks to make the beer they so deeply love. Managing others is hard enough, but managing creative people presents unique challenges. I'd love to hear from our members about successful management techniques, monetary and non-monetary incentives, standard margins on recipes, and other ideas you've used to keep the creatives happy and thriving while still protecting the bottom line.
