I've been asked by one of our members for suggestions on hiring their first part-time sales person. This would be for a self-distribution position. While I believe most of us just use the IRS value of $0.54 per mile to cover gas and vehicle use, what other suggestions do you have? What should go into the job description  (minimum age, lifting heavy weights, odd hours, etc)? How much do you pay these positions on a part time basis (hourly rate)? What do you wish you knew then, based on successful and unsuccessful hires you've conducted.
