As a supervisor of a tasting room a part of my role is to educate/motivate my staff. One area that I feel we need some work is up-selling. This is very natural to me since I have a background in sales. I am working to put together a small presentation on how to sell beer in the tasting room, but I want to go beyond the normal "sales talk" that can kind of get lost. I'm looking to get them motivated and build their confidence - because I was always taught, "the answer will always be no if you don't ask".
I would like to gather your input. Maybe this is an area your successful at, or maybe you might find this discussion helpful.
